I'm an Open Format DJ that can play anything with or without a beat, and keep the crowd moving. I have toured the world solo, and with my live band performing at some of biggest festivals and venues, while opening for some of the biggest acts in music and headlining our own tours. I understand the importance that a musician / DJ can have on an audience, and I never take that for granted. I'm always willing to adapt to my client, and most importantly my audience. When performing in different countries, I like to study the local genres of music, and try to incorporate them into my set. I thrive under pressure to deliver the best session possible.

Energy, versatility, musical selection, and a natural love for music are all characteristics of one DJ. Known by many as the Lethal Weapon, DJTK is the DJ you want for any and every occasion. With many years of experience, TK has been rocking clubs and parties alike well before the digital platform became the standard in the music industry. Instead of rejecting the digital platform, TK has accepted and thrived in this era by being able to broaden his musical collection, and add more of his creative personality into his sets. From Hip-Hop, to Reggae, to Alterative, to House, TK can adapt to any format, thus making him the premiere open format DJ.

TK's style of play has been recognized by many promoters who have involved TK in some of the biggest events around the world. Some of these notable events include the annual Bob Marley Festival held in Miami, Florida, USA, the Toronto Caribbean Carnival (Caribana), held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the Dubai Desert Rhythm Festival held in Dubai, UAE. DJTK's diverse style of play has not only allowed him to travel around the world, but it has allowed him to spin records alongside many of the worlds' most revered DJs as well. Such DJs include: DJ Kid Capri, DJ Tony Touch, DJ AM, DJ Whoo Kid, DJ Skribble, Technics World Champion DJ Craze, South Beach Legend DJ Radamas, Miami Heat Resident DJ Irie, DJ Khaled, DJ Affect, Reggae greats Stone Love Sound System, Renaissance Sound System, King Waggy T, Tony Matterhorn, and world renowned House DJs, Sasha and Digweed.

After years of strictly spinning records in clubs, DJTK began to lose his motivation to play music due to the direction that he felt music was heading. TK decided to briefly retire from playing music and began to work fulltime tutoring and teaching children. He formed an educational company called Teach America with his partner Raymond Dass, and began to focus on the improvement of children's studying habits, critical thinking skills, and test taking abilities. To this day, TK still overseas Teach America with his partner, and is currently expanding this company worldwide.

Several years after the formation of Teach America, TK was blessed with the opportunity to meet a new and extremely talented group called Black Violin. After taking part in several studio sessions with Black Violin, TK was instantly inspired and regained his motivation to get back into the music world. Black Violin produced an innovative style of music that TK felt was desperately needed in the music industry, plus they promoted the performing arts to children. As luck would have it, Black Violin asked TK to join the group and be their official DJ after they won Showtime at the Apollo in 2005. Since winning Apollo, Black Violin has gone on to tour around the world with the likes of Linkin Park, Aerosmith, 50 Cent, P. Diddy, Kanye West, Joss Stone, Jay-Z, Akon, Nas, Lil Wayne, and many more of today's top artists.

While many of the negative aspects of music seem to be in the forefront today, DJTK's main focus is to spread good music throughout the world. Through Black Violin and other artists and producers that TK currently works with, TK wants to display creativity, innovation, and overall good music to all individuals who hear him play. As an educator, its only right that you attend one of TK's musical lessons. You never know, you might learn and hear something new.
